Coquette Bake Shop

If you ever find yourself wandering around Bainbridge Island with a craving for something flaky, buttery, and downright delicious, let me point you straight to Coquette Bake Shop. Tucked away on 140 Winslow Way W, this charming little spot isn’t just a bakery—it’s a full-on vibe.

Step inside, and the aroma alone is enough to make your day better. Locals and visitors alike rave about their Almond Croissant, and honestly, it’s easy to see why. It's perfectly golden on the outside with a soft almond filling that hits the sweet spot. More into savory? Their Ham & Brie Sandwich is a total game-changer—simple, yet incredibly satisfying.

The real treat, though, is grabbing a spot on the patio. Yup, they’ve got outdoor seating that’s ideal for a slow morning or a chill afternoon catch-up. And if you're rolling with your pup or bringing the kiddos along, no worries—dogs are welcome and the place is totally kid-friendly.

Crowd-wise, it’s lively but not too loud—just that perfect buzz of chatter and clinking coffee cups. It’s the kind of spot where groups gather without feeling cramped, making it a great go-to for brunch dates or low-key meetings.

One more must-try? The Ginger Molasses cookie. It’s got that chewy-spicy magic that’s perfect with a latte. Oh, and don't sleep on their Morning Bun—cinnamon-swirled and sugar-dusted like a cozy hug in pastry form.

So yeah, Coquette Bake Shop isn’t just another stop on the island—it’s the kind of place you remember. Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, it’s always worth popping in.

Food: Selected a pre-made ham and roasted red pepper sandwich on a baguette (very cafe). It came tied with a lovely red raffia tie. It may seem silly...but small details are appreciated and show care in their customer's happiness and experience. The bread was delicate inside and had a lovely crust. The ham was tasty and not salty. Also enjoyed a cortado with oat milk. Nice and strong, just the way I like it! Service: Walk up and order and find a seat kind of spot. Service was pleasant and helpful when I asked for a recommendation. Salesperson was quick and efficient. Cortado came quickly...which was fantastic because we were freezing! Ambiance: It is located in a small shopping center at the end of a popular shopping street. It was cold and rainy so we chose to sit indoors. There is seating outdoors for nicer weather.

Used yelp reviews to guide me here for a cappuccino; it did not disappoint! She got a London fog latte and it was also delicious. We got a pastry and a quiche to share - also great. Very cute center; would recommend.

Definitely walk the extra blocks past the tourist packed bakeries on Bainbridge Island to find Coquette in a small strip mall. There were plenty of breakfast choices, but I can't resist carrot cake and this was one of the best I've had! My husband had a breakfast pastry and it was excellent as well.

Dropped by Bainbridge farmers market and had a blueberry muffin from Coquette. Full of blueberries, nice sugar sprinkled on top, moist, and good size. Nice to know they have a brick and mortar location. I will be back lots of other goodies on the menu.
